This is a metal disk coupling which was developed for use on the spindles of machine tools. It meets precision and high-speed requirements. To ensure that it can be installed accurately, not only the flange but also the pressurizing flange has a centering mechanism. Also, in order to reduce whistling noise at high speed, the outer periphery of the metal disk is covered by the flange which is shaped in such a way that surface irregularities are reduced. Available types are an ultra-high rigidity single element type and a flexible double element consisting of two elements joined together via a spacer.

Disk-Type Couplings have a set of Steel disks. Disks and hubs are precision riveted with spacers making it one piece. Disk type couplings are available in three models, Light duty, Medium duty and Heavy duty Servo or Motor Couplings, Heavy duty Couplings having similar design as stated above. Main change is in disk, i.e. in place of single disk these have multiple disk depending on the torque rating. In case the actual torque requirement is more then in case of nut & blot assembly additional disks can be added to suit torque. These couplings can be supplied in steel hubs and Aluminum hubs with AS or AF clamping, with or without keyway, as per customer's need.

PUFLEX DC couplings are the three piece assembly of 2 no. Aluminium Alloy hubs and one Special Grade Plastic Disc. These three pieces are co-axially assembled to complete the PUFLEX DC coupling. After assembly these couplings becomes sufficient flexible, backlash-free, positive motion transmitting fail safe coupling elements. Due to Plastic Disc, both the metallic hubs are separated from each other to avoid there physical contact. This helps to avoid the electrical and frequency isolation of both the connected driver and driven elements.

In the base execution, “GR” TRASCO® couplings are available in two different versions: precision “P” or economy “S”. The difference between “P” and “S” type hubs is that in the precision execution the circular sections of the hubs are precision machined, while in the economy execution they are simply deburred. The “S” version allows lower axial displacement as indicated in the technical performance table. Hubs are available in cast iron GG25, die cast aluminium alloy or forged aluminium. On special request hubs are available in steel or cast iron GGG40.TRASCO® couplings are dimensionally manufactured to hub types “A” , “B” and "L" (long hub execution).
