The AgroMET is a wireless, solar-powered weather station made
with the grower in mind, providing the best accuracy of any
consumer weather station on the market. This compact, rugged
and elegantly designed unit comes fully assembled providing
quick and easy installation.
Known for our accurate and reliable sensor assembly, the
AgroMET has several groundbreaking features:
1) Transmission range of up to one mile (when positioned with
an unobstructed line-of-site view to the receiver) that surpasses
the current long range distance of 1000 feet;
2) Rapid data refresh rate of every 2 seconds makes receiving
your data virtually real-time;
3) No local computer is needed to process, transmit or store
your data; the IP-100 network interface (purchased separately)
links your weather station directly to our cloud-based website
for multiple viewing options including Internet, iPhone and iPad.
The IP-100 also allows for direct integration with Network for
Environment and Weather Awareness (NEWA) website where
available.*
4) The AgroMET includes our tipping bucket rain gauge - the
tipping bucket design was originally developed by RainWise in
1974 and has become the industry standard for rain gauges!
5) Our unique aervane design: others use 3-cup anemometers
that are susceptible to collecting water that can cause freezing
and breaking, leading to repeated down time and ongoing
expensive replacements. Our trademark rotary blade design
eliminates this concern. In addition our design utilizes an
internal, contact-free magnetic system that provides constant
horizontal wind tracking, leaving no mechanical parts to wear
out over time and require replacement. Finally, our aervane is
crafted in such a way as to minimize crevices in the body that
would be susceptible to ice build-up causing downtime and
breakage.
The AgroMET’s lightweight and compact design makes
installation quick and easy. Various mounting options are
available including the RainWise Mono Mount. The AgroMET is
supplied with a detachable mast section that can be secured to
an existing structure.
Accessing your Data
The AgroMET send directly to the IP-100 Network Interface (sold separately) allowing for
multiple display options including our RainwiseNet™ cloud-based data host and web portal page
and our iPhone & iPad apps.
*If you live in select areas of the Northeastern US your data can be directly uploaded to the
Network for Environment and Weather Awareness (NEWA) website for use with their Integrated
Crop Management forecasting service. (See for more information)
