A circulating auxiliary fluid normally water, absorbs the driving power supplied to the impellers and transmits it to the gas to be compressed. Shaft and Impellers are the only moving components. They do not have sliding contact with fixed pump components. The gaps which exists are filled with the auxiliary fluid. No lubricants can get into the pumping chamber and the gas to be pumped is not contaminated. In design, the pumps is adopted to the intended application.
