The production of these briquettes begins by collection of the organic coconut shell briquettes available. There are many methods of coconut shell charcoal production, which usually also involves using of chemical substance involved in burning and usage of artificial binders. However, our motto is to go green in every way. The process of converting shells to charcoal includes removing all the moisture from the raw material in a limited supply of air. The coconut shells are sorted and refined to get the most mature shells in order to get high quality charcoal. These shells are then cut into uniform sizes. We make sure to add only organic resin and natural starch as binders to them. Following the addition of binder, they are moulded into the necessary shapes .We dry them in our solar dryers. Finally we get those perfect briquettes.
Pillow Briquettes :
The pillow briquettes are briquettes, which are moulded into pillow shapes
They have higher density hence burn for a longer period of time
They have a carbon content of about 75%
Moisture content in it is merely 2-3 percent
The Ash content produced is less than 10%
They come in the size of 25mm X 25mm X 15mm
They have a calorific value of 6000KCal/Kg
Hexagonal Briquettes :
These briquettes are extruded into hexagonal shape with a hexagonal intersection at the centre
They have good absorption performance
They have a carbon content of about 75%
Moisture content in it is 3 %
The Ash content produced is 10%
They come in the size of 70mm X 150mm
They have a calorific value of 6000KCal/Kg
Usages :
Useful for heating purposes in room heaters
Often used in poultry heating
They find themselves in widespread usage of BBQ’s and Boiler hearing
They often used as fuels in lead melting units
Quite extensively used in hotel industry
Thus they can be used in several household and industrial usages.
Benefits of using coconut Shells :
Firstly, it is completely eco-friendly product, which is produced from sustainable natural resources
The ash content of the coconut shells is around 0.6% and the lignin is about 36.5%, what helps to turn the shell into briquettes fairly easily. As a result less ash is produced to the environment during burning. In addition, these briquettes are very safe to use and easy to ignite
It is also an excellent raw material source to manufacture activated carbon Combustion of the coconut shell briquettes is more uniform compared to coal. The size is designed for complete combustion
Boiler response to changes in steam requirements is faster due to high temperature of the briquettes
Our Coconut Shell Charcoal Briquette is having very low volatile matter which sustains the burning time of the Briquette
The coconut shell charcoal briquettes do not emit any toxic gases, so it is safe to use it for outdoor cooking as well. In general, because of its high level of calorific value the briquettes can be used in food and metallurgy industries, as stove fuel etc
