in the process industry double window sight glass are used as an accessory in the pipeline or inlet or outlet of equipments to view the process or utility fluid flow. Traditional double window sight glasses have the glass fitted between two flanges. This results into breakage during fitting or reduced life due to thermal expansion on an already stressed glass. Also in the traditional way of holding the glass, the process fluid leaks out to atmosphere on the instant of the inside gasket failure. Due to these reasons the failure rate of traditional double window sight glasses remain very high and does not serve as a efficient tool for monitoring flow. traditional double window sight glasses have the glass fitted between two flanges. Due to the inherent principle of tightening of flanges (opposite bolts are tightened one after the other), the glass by default remains stressed by unbalanced tightening torque from the fitting stage itself. This results into breakage during fitting or reduced life due to thermal expansion on an already stressed glass. In the traditional double window sight glass, both the soft gaskets on both sides of the glass remains exposed to atmosphere resulting into the process fluid leaking out to atmosphere on the instant of the inside gasket failure. Glass gets dirty due to settling of dirt particles from inside and therefore after a limited time flow becomes unvisible. multiview has the glass housed in a specially designed “anti torque cap nut housing wherein the tightening is obtained by threading on the cap onto the nut and therefore the glass gets uniformly and gradually tightened resulting into negligible or no prestresses and a life long no glass breaking arrangement. In multiview the inside gasket for the glass soft seating has no scope of getting exposed to atmosphere. Therefore even in situations of the gasket disintegrating it casts itself inside the housing thereby it results into a lifelong leak free situation. Multiview can be provided with clear view (visible diameter of the glass) of equal to or more than the size of the double window sight glass therefore enabling the user to have as much a large view he requires. The deflector plates provided inside the multiview helps to create a vortex in the flow taking place inside the multivew. This helps in viewing the flow even under full bore flow conditions without any moving parts and also self cleans the glass from inside to provide a life long clear view
