This instrument is designed with the modern state of art technology incorporating LSI Electronic Digital cireuitry. The chamber for he animal is made out of clear Perspex sheet fitted with grill of nickel plated brass rods placed 3/16� apart. A variable shock of strength 100v, 50ma is provided. Which is built in the instrument. Also a four digit counter is provided which counts the movement of the animal, inside the Perspex chamber. The counter is provided with a reset switch.

Switch the Instrument ON with the help of the switch marked Mains of the front panel.  The red indicator above the ON switch starts glowing and indicates that the mains voltage is available. Also the four digit display marked COUNT starts displaying either all Zero’s or some count. Press the Reset switch once. Now the COUNT is 0000. Insert the animal into the chamber. Switch the Shock ON with the help of the Switch marked ON near the voltmeter. The green indicator starts glowing. St the Shock Strength value on the Voltmeter with the help of SHOCK STRENGTH to the desired value according to the experiment. Now because of the Shock available on the grid, the animal starts moving here and there. This movement is recorded on the Four Digits Counter and is displayed on the front panel marked with COUNT. Interrelate the count value with the experiment requirements being performed.   Precautions: Keep the instrument clean and dry. Do not handle the instrument with wet hands. Do not try to touch the grill when the SHOCK STRENGTH is on. Handle the Perspex box carefully.
