Flow Control Valve
The fluid flow rate in a hydraulic system is controlled by flow control valve. Control of flow in a hydraulic system is critical because the rate of movement of fluid-powered machines or actuators depends on the rate of flow of pressurized fluid. The basic function of the flow control valve is to reduce the volume of oil supplied in different places in a hydraulic circuit. Is a device used for adjusting or manipulating the flow rate of a liquid in a pipeline. The valve contains a flow passage or a port whose flow area can be varied. The role of the valve in a hydraulic circuit is very important and its very location is critical to optimum system performance. An important application of this valve in hydraulic systems is: controlling the flow rate to cylinders and motors to adjust their speeds. Any flow decrease it means a speed decrease at the actuator. Also builds added resistance to the circuit, increasing pressure, resulting in a partial bypassing of fluid over the relief valve or a de-stroking pressure of a compensated pump.
