The erichsen tester is designed to test the plasticity of metals. This machine measures the erichsen's number of sheet metal to determine its suitability for press work or toughness thereof. The main dimensions of the machine and the method of inspection are so selected as to make the machine quite reliable in its mechanism. Features the pignandle and the intermediate gearing provided make easy pressing and swelling out of the charged sheet metal by the punch. it is easy to set the pointer to zero as the top of the punch and the furrow holding plane are always made to coincide by a measurement correction panel.
