The smedley spring-type child dynamometer has a 110 pound capacity. Unit has been used successfully for many years to measure grip strength. The adjustable handle comfortably accommodates any hand size. Unit is calibrated in both pounds and kilograms. Comes with protective carrying case.

Baseline® 3-piece standard hand evaluation set includes the following instruments stored in a protective carrying case: standard 200 pound capacity hydraulic hand dynamometer (blue), standard 50 pound capacity hydraulic pinch gauge (blue), and 6 inch stainless steel finger goniometer. The Eddy Current Dynamometer is Bi-directional, Dry-gap Type. In a dry gap unit, the only resistance to movement of the rotor is that of bearing friction and the small effect of windage. With zero excitation, an almost no-load condition can be achieved over the entire speed range. The construction comprises of a thin spoked steel rotor revolving in a casing that houses the field coil and the heat exchanger. When excitation current is generated in the coil, a magnetic flux is developed. An equal and opposite magnetic field is induced in the heat exchanger walls facing the rotor. This field is pulsating corresponding to the RPM of the rotor. The changing field produces Eddy Currents in the heat exchanger walls that oppose the excitation field and thus causing retarding action to be imposed on the rotor. The magnetic flux lines developed in the rotor can be kept to a minimum thickness, resulting in a low moment of inertia.

Aluminium tubular anodized body filled with a T shaped handle. A steel compression spring over a graduated 10-0 -10Kg metal plated rod can be pushed and pulled provided with rubber covered pad (to register pushes) and a swing aside hook (to register pulls) The instrument is a direct reading being filled with a cursor on the pipe. Capacity 10Kg-0-10Kg

The ring dynamometer is constructed of a steel load ring with fully jeweled precision dial indicator to show the deflection under load. To assure consistent accuracy, each dial indicator used has passed a rigid screening process. The dial reading is easily translated into pounds by referring to a calibration report included with each instrument. Standard ring dynamometers are calibrated at loads from one-tenth of capacity. If specified, ten special loads can be calibrated in lieu of the standard loads.
