This passive infra-red sensor detects heat radiated from moving persons objects and uses this ability to automatically switch on or off lights, air conditioners etc these products can be used in all places where electrical energy is wasted in absence of human presence, like office cabin, back office area, lobby, conference room, changing room, recovery room, cloak room, corridor, staircase, storage places, warehouse, car parking, toilet, kitchen, pantry, garden, etc. to know more about the product please read the following, the sensors installed will detects when somebody or a moving object ( say a car in car parking area opening of a door ) enters in its detection range and will switches on the lights and will turned off the lights when person leaves out the movement stops. Clearly, the sensor is intended to operate lights at an area corresponds to movement occupancy. I.e. On the lights when there is movement occupancy and off the lights when there is no movement occupancy. Apart from this energy saving aspect, it also offers a convenience that it is not needed to often switch on or off the lights; it is in automatic operation. there are three knobs in the sensors, the lux knob, the time knob and the sensitivity knob. The lux knob is used to make the lights on at a desired lux level. The time knob is used to make the light lights off at a desired time period ( of 1 minute to 15mnts). Ex: if the time is set for 3minutes, the lights will turn off after 3 minutes, if there was a movement at the end of 2minutes, then the lights will be off only after 5minutes(=3+2). This way if there is an occupancy movement in the detection area distance the lights will remain on. The sensitivity knob is used to increase decrease the detection distance area. Every sensor has a detection distance,( for the ceiling mount sensor, when erected at a height of 3.00 mtrs, it covers a an area of 6mtr radius) it can be mounted on ceiling wall, the mounting height varies from 1.8 mtr to 3.8 mtrs. An electrician can easily install this device. Every sensor is attached with an installation manual showing connection diagram.
