The leaf is then fired in a conventional drier and spread out to cool. Before the leaves have had a chance to dry, they are rolled again. The second rolling is done without pressure and gives the leaf a pleasing twist. The leaves are then dried a final time in a conventional dryer and spread out to cool. After 24 hours, they are sorted. Some green tea manufacturers in India polish the tea in a revolving drum, with or without polishing agents, and also sometimes colour them with indigo. However, some countries do not allow the sale of artificially coloured and polished green teas.
