This controlled coil process and replacement assures uniform heat distribution over the entire active surface of the heater. Special care is taken to secure the stud-type terminal to the high-temperature alloy resistance contact.The coiled resistance wire is embedded in a special refractory Material that possesses excellent heat transfer characteristics and superior insulation properties. The entire heater assembly is encased in either stainless or chrome steel sheath and is compressed under high pressure. The completed assembly is heated under controlled conditions to bake and semi vitrify the refractory for a rigid, vibration resistant, heavy-duty heating unit. Liquid flow through heaters are designed primarily for providing heat that regulates liquid temperature from 32 to 88oC (90 to 190oF). The heaters have a titanium element that resists corrosion. The flow through tube is 381 mm (15") long and has 1 NPT female pipe connections and is available in 304 SS. The safety high limit trip point for the heater is 99oC (210oF). The 201 x 145 x 89 mm (7.9 x 5.7 x 3.5") enclosure is made of Stainless steel 316 and is water resistant.

The common two types of GHPs in use are 1) earth-couple (closed loop) system that uses sealed pipestubes-placed vertically or horizontally, through water or a mixer of water and antifreeze circulates transferring heat to and from the earth and 2) water source (open loop) system where water from the underground aquifer pumps water to the heat exchanger. Between the two, earth coupled GHPs are very popular because they are very adoptable.
