This equipment consist of horizontal cylindrical vessel dished on both ends, having fixed head and retractable shell, both are coupled by locking arrangement. Filter leaves are mounted on centrally located rotating common manifold. After the filtration batch is over, hold up slurry can be drained out and filter leaves are rotated at slow speed, while hot water / clear slurry can be sprayed through the spray nozzles over the filtration surface to dislodge cake. Conveyer at the bottom passes the thick slurry along with cake to the drain. This called slurry cake discharge. Wet cake discharge also possible with scraper assemblies. Closed and compact operation, the operation can be totally automatic.
