The sides of the shell and the shell will be made up of M.S. Plates.The mill will be provided with a shaft appropriate to the diameter of the mill which will be welded and turned through from one end to the other and the mill will run free on self aligned roller bearing fitted with heavy duty pedestals. The mill will consist of one opening and two lids one for charging and the other for discharging fitted with a ball valve. A ball valve will be fitted at the side of the shell for gas discharge.The mill will be driven by a grid gear and pinion. The pinion will be coupled to a suitable gear box and that in turn coupled to a motor of appropriate H.P.The full assembly with the motor and gear box will be mounted on a three piece stand fabricated from heavy duty channel.

Vibration Mill suitable for mixing of sample & KBr, using S S Ball. The mixing & blending of KBr with sample can be easily done using the Vibration Mill. The sample is contained in stainless Steel capsule and reduced to fine mixture of sample and KBr by the pulverising action of grinding balls.  It is fitted with a 30 min adjustable timer for Auto Stop. This vibration mill is particularly suitable for DST user where in the sample quantity is too small and sample homogeneity therefore is very crucial. For this application KBr is taken in good quantity ( say 1 gm) and sample also proportionally on the higher side ( say 10 to 20 mg) . This mixture when used in the Vibration mill gets homogeneously mixed. A small portion of this is taken for analysis with DST.

Ball Mill is one type of milling machine which is used to mill or grind the materials such as large sized particles either active drug ingredients or excipient and agglomerates. Ball mill consists of horizontal  rotating cylindrical vessel or shell with the length slightly greater than its diameter which is mounted on a metallic frame in such a way that it can be rotated on its longitudinal axis. The axis of the shell or vessel  may be either horizontal or at a small angle to the horizontal.  The cylindrical vessel contains balls that occupy 30-50% of the mill volume. Working Of Lead Oxide Ball Mill : Lead Ingots are melted in the Melting Pot. The Molten Lead in the Melting Pot is pumped on to the Cylinder casting Machine. The Lead cylinders are casted in the Cylinder casting machines at a rate higher than that of the oxidation process. These Lead cylinders are conveyed and stored in a Silo. The Silo feeds the required amount of Lead Cylinders into the Mill as and when required. The amount of Lead Cylinders being discharged from the Silo is adjustable from the PLC system. Lead Cylinders tumbling inside the Ball Mill drum create heat due to friction between them. This heat initiates the oxidation process. The oxidation process is also an exothermic reaction. This exothermic heat raises the temperature of the material that in turn accelerates the oxidation process. A draft of air through the Ball Mill drum gives oxygen for the oxidation process and carries the Battery Oxide to the collection system. The Collection System includes a combination of cyclone and dust collector or just dust collector. Battery oxide is collected and conveyed to storage silos. The Silos storing Battery Oxide are purged with Nitrogen to keep the temperature of the Oxide in check.
