Dart Impact Tester is a consistent tool for determining the impact of a free-falling dart on a plastic film. The energy of the falling dart causes the film to fail under specified conditions. In this test, the difference between the height of the drop of pendulum before rupture of material and the height of the rise of pendulum after rupture of the specimen is directly proportionate to the impact energy absorbed by the specimen, which is directly indicated by a moving pointer.

The impact properties of the polymeric materials are directly related to the overall toughness is defined as the ability of the polymer to absorb applied energy. The area under the stress-strain curve is directly proportional to the toughness of a material. Impact strength is a measurement of toughness. The Aggregate Crushing Value (ACV) test set provides a relative measure of the resistance of an aggregate to crushing under a gradually applied compressive load. Each set consists of steel cylinder, plunger, base plate, cylindrical measure and tamping rod.
