Context Plus XP95 temperature (heat) detectors have a common profile with ionisation and optical smoke detectorsbut have a low air flow resistance case made of self-extinguishing white polycarbonate. They monitor temperature by using a single thermistor network which provides a voltage output proportional to the external air temperature. The Model DRS-020 Eddy current digital reference sensor is a self-contained, non-contact position sensor. Not only do they not contain parts prone to mechanical wear, but they are also virtually insensitive to environmental influences. Eddy current proximity switches react only to metal parts, which is an advantage in many cases (insensitivity to dirt). When a conductive, generally metallic, object enters into the magnetic field generated by the sensor, the latter is influenced in a way that it can be detected and evaluated by the built-in electronics. The DRS-020 includes an extension cable, a metallic target and a package of glue.
