The latest addition in our range of product is induration furnace for iron-ore pelletisation. The smaller capacity version has been made in circular (endless) layout where the charging and discharging area are located side by side. Here also, the pellet cars are grate type. The charge is to be loaded on heat resistant pellet cars traveling on wheels across the furnace for heating and cooling and then unloaded at discharge end. For production of hot metal, the unit has installed a blast furnace. In the blast furnace, the burden of iron ore and coke is reduced into hot metal. Coke is used both as reductant and fuel. To maintain heat in the furnace a stove has been set up. A blast furnace of 262 Cu M has also been set up. The production per Cu M is 2.40 tons per day. Considering 340 working days per annum, the installed capacity of the plant is 214,000 TPA. The hot metal produced shall be transferred to Electric Arc Furnace for primary refining or cast in pig casting machine.

a) Lime grinding and fluidizing plants : Sunag Engineering Pvt. Ltd. based on in-house developed technology has designed and installed calcined lime grinding and fluidizing plant to customers like JSW Steel, Toranagallu. Similar plant is under execution for Bhushan Steel at Meramandali. The process technology for grinding and hydrophobic treatment of finely ground lime powder has been developed in-house and due to this process, the lime powder is highly fluidized and also acquires free-flow properties. This type of lime finds wide use in pretreatment of hot metal in steel plants for desiliconising, dephosphorising and desulphurising. While the system engineering is done in-house the equipment is sourced from reputed suppliers.

Electric Cremation for cremation of human dead body in India dates back to 1951 when the cremation furnace was installed and commissioned in Calcutta.
