The test specimen is exposed to a predetermined time period and inspected during its exposure. This test is carried out to check the integrity of coatings, paints in a corrosive environment. Introduction Used for tablets to determine the durability at the time of production. A transparent plastic persperx drum with cover also a shaped radial fixed blade which carries the tablets alongwith it upto the central height and lets them off while the drum is rotating, thus the tablet rub against each other without any hard impact. The drum rotates at a fix speed of 30 RPM by a geared motor. The rotation period is determined by a Electric Timer. Tablets are weighed before and after the test and the difference in weight for a perticular time period indicating the rate of abrasion.
