Apart from that the unique design of our transformers have follwing main components :-
Core :
The magnetic core is built up from Prime high quality CRGO generally M4 Grade. MOH, M1H, HIB Grade. Laminations are coated with oil and heat resistant insulation. Laminations are free from Burs. The construction is only through interleaved mitred joints to have uniform Flux density, minimum excitation power and minimum core loss. All core-cutting facilities are available with us. We are directly importing Prime core to ensure quality.
Oil :
Dehydrated mineral oil as per IS : 335 (1993) with latest amendments is used for proper insulation and cooling. ARDISONS ASSOCIATES has in-house facilities to test the oil for resistivity, tan delta, B.D.V. neutralization, flash point etc. to ensure the ageing characteristics.
Coil :
Mainly Aluminium Conductors are used for 25kVA to 200 kVA and electrolytic grade copper conductors are used for lower ratings upto 20kVA & higher ratings above 200 kVA. Type of coils helical, continuous disc, cross over coils depends on voltage class and transformer ratings as designed by our designing department. Electrical grade Kraft paper, press board as per IS : 1576 and permawood are used as solid insulating materials. Sufficient cooling ducts are provided to reduce the temperature rise of winding, oil and hot spot. All coils are preshrunk as per the seasoning cycle to withstand mechanical forces developed during short time overloads and short circuit conditions.

Tanks :-
Cooling system is properly designed to have proper self-thermo siphon system, which helps to minimize the
temperature gradient between winding and oil. The interior surface of the tank is cleaned by chemical/ shot or sand blasting and coated with oil resistant zinc chromate primer. Conservator, meter boxes, rollers, conventional /sealed type tank are provided as per the rating / requirement. All tanks are tested on pressure as well as under vacuum to ensure zero leakage & requisite amount of deflection. To meet the variation of pressure inside the tank, due to variation in temperature and short circuit current, the tanks are suitably stiffened. ARDISONS has got the full fledged In House Tank Fabrication Line equipped with the latest technology machines for excellent overall finish & quality.
Fittings :-
Gas operated relay, MOG, Oil Temperature Indicator, Winding Temperature Indicator. Marshalling box, tap switch either off circuit or OLTC are provided as per the rating / requirement.
Assembly :-
All coils are preshrunk before assembly. Core coil assembly is properly dried to remove moisture before placing in the tank. Terminations are provided as per the requirement with proper insulation and size. Double coat painting is done with enamel paint on appropriate primer as per the application with shades to suit customer requirements
Testing :-
The transformers is tested at our works with modern , sophisticated, computerized , regularly calibrated Power Analyzer & meters through a centralized control panel. Dynamic short circuit and impulse voltage test can be conducted at any Government agency if required, and temperature rise test can be conducted at our works. All of our designs are type tested for lightning Impulse Voltage and Short Circuit withstand tests (Dynamic and Thermal).All the transformers are subjected to the following below mentioned routine tests at the works.
