If the tubes have been cut out and all you have left are the stub ends then using the collapsing tool with the impact hammer makes light work in removing the stub.The chisel end of the collapsing tool is forced down inbetween the tube and the tube sheet. The centre groove on the collapsing chisel forces the tube to collapse inwardly therefore releasing pressure on the tube sheet and breaking the seal.If the tube is thick walled then using the wall reducer will make the overall removal of the stub end much more easier.Tubes which are flush with the outside of the tube sheet can also be removed with the Knockout/Drift tools. These fit inside the tube or stub end and force the tube back through the tube sheet.
