Multi zone hot runner controllers are made by individual temperature controller modules assembled in a cabinet. Soft start facility in this controller will help evaporate any moisture present inside the heater. The coil heaters have MgO content, and are therefore hygroscopic in nature. If kept unused for long periods, there is moisture deposition on the terminals.
