It is used to dry and roast supari or grains to remove the moisture and bring it to desired value of moisture content. Working Principle : When dryer is switched on, the blower sucks in cold air from the atmosphere and transfers it to the oil fired air heating chamber. The automatic burner operates on reverse flame principle to enable maximum thermal efficiency. The heater is indirectly fired to prevent mixing of flue gases with the hot air. Now this hot air flows in to supari chamber through Multi Fin Point. Hence each grain of supari gets absolutely equal heat. Heat recovery unit installed in it helps to increase the efficiency of the dryer.   The indirect oil fired heater has fully automatic self igniting imported burner assembly with horizontal firing, pressure atomizing, forced draft type with direct electric spark ignition. The burner is installed on form side of plant. The burner is imported from F.B.R. Italy with world class spare parts from reputed companies like sequence controller from Landis & Gyr (Germany), transformer from -Cofi / Feeda (Italy), fuel pump form Suntec (France), nozzle from Danfoss (Denmark), motor from Simel / AACO (Italy), photocell from Landis & Gyr (Germany). Rotary Dryer operated at almost atmospheric pressure consists of a M.S.Cylindrical shell, ranging in length from four to ten times its diameter, into which the wet charge is fed continuously at one end and is discharged at the other, the movement of the material being due usually to the combined effect of inclination of the shell to the horizontal and the action of internal lifting flights during the rotation of the shell. The latter is usually provided with machined girth rings supported on suitable designed bearings. Rotation of the shell is secured by the action of suitable gearing. Hot air produced from Hot Air Generator (Direct or Indirect ) is injected into the dryer to achieve the required dryness of the material . The discharge end of the Rotary Dryer consists of sealing arrangement , Cyclone and Dust Collector.

A tray or Compartment Dryer is an enclosed insulated chamber in which trays are placed on top of each other in trolleys. The material to be dried either wet or solids are placed in the tray. Heat transfer is done by circulation of hot air by electric heaters in radiator coils. Blower fans are installed inside to ensure proper circulation and transfer of heat.
