In this dryer, compressed air is passed though the regenerated desiccant bed for moisture removal and dry air comes out from the outlet. For regeneration of desiccant, atmospheric air is heated to a temp of 175Deg C & passed through the saturated desiccant bed in counter direction. All the adsorbed moisture vaporizes and is vented out. Cooling of the bed may be done with atmospheric air but without heater or some air may be re-circulated through heat exchanger, depending on the dryness of air required.
